Strawberries have have made the EWGs “Dirty Dozen” for 6 years and they’ve topped the list two years in a row.  Those red, delicious, sweet little nuggets might make your taste buds go wild, but you could be eating a cocktail of pesticides if they are not organic.

Why is this important?

“Americans eat nearly eight pounds of fresh strawberries a year – and with them, dozens of pesticides, including chemicals that have been linked to cancer and reproductive damage, or that are banned in Europe.” according to the Environmental Working Group.

In fact, 99 percent of strawberries contained residue of at least one pesticide and 29 per cent contained over 10!  Those are crazy statistics!

In a country where medicine is advancing, why are we sicker than ever?  It makes you wonder, doesn’t it?  What are we doing to ourselves that is causing diseases to be diagnosed at skyrocketing rates?

  • I live in MD so these strawberries would be indoors at a homeless shelter. I know at conference a Tim Blank told me just to buy two plants as he wasn’t a fan indoors. I know you have to self pollinate. Do you think they would do ok here in MD? Thanks
