We’ve all done it at some point. We’ve seen a bug on our beloved Tower Garden and freaked out! However, not all bugs are created equal and there are many beneficial bugs out there that actually eat the bad guys. It’s that whole circle of life thing. I’ve mistakenly squashed a ladybug larvae before. They look nothing like the aphid eating adult they turn into. In fact they look kind of weird! You can see all of the life stages of ladybug’s here so that you won’t make the same mistake I did!

Take at look at this Assassin Bug (good bug) above. It looks very similar to the Squash bug (bad bug) below.

How do you know what bugs are good and what bugs are bad? Thankfully for you I stumbled across a handy dandy bug guide to help you determine who are the good guys, who are the bad guys, how to attract more good guys and it also includes a couple of homemade bug recipes.
Still trying to get some of your two sided brochures, hope to share with. Others.
Hi Jane
Please call us at the farm. I am not sure what two sided brochures you are referring to. Maybe you spoke with Jason or Jan? ~ Dee

Bad
At first glance it looked like a squash bug to me!
Great info, thanks. I’ve looked through your good/bad bug book. I am noticing a lot of snails. Do you have this issue, good or bad issue, an how do you manage them? Thank you.
